About Charlyn
Charlyn is an author, luminary, guide, teacher trainer, and facilitator of programs and retreats. A compassionate and dedicated teacher of yoga, meditation, self-care, and healing, she offers in-person and online classes, immersive programs, and private one-on-one sessions for both beginners and experienced practitioners globally.
In 2021, she published her first book, Walking the Path of Love, and continues to offer workshops inspired by its teachings—centered on experiential learning and the wisdom of Swami Kripalu. The Walking the Path of Love podcast is being launched mid 2026.
Drawing from these teachings, which emphasize cultivating a loving relationship with oneself and others, Charlyn guides students along a path of deep healing and self-discovery. Her work supports individuals in reconnecting with their inner wisdom, embodying their true nature, and creating meaningful, lasting transformation.
Recognizing that daily life often challenges our sense of peace, joy, and balance, Charlyn has developed an approach to help uncover the internal patterns and obstacles that keep us from living in alignment with our truth. Through her guidance, students learn to access their intuition and inner knowing, empowering them to live with greater clarity, authenticity, and purpose.

With yoga asana, meditation, and devotion as a foundation, I illuminate a path toward living a life rooted in love—one guided by actions aligned with your deepest truth. I support clients in walking this path by helping them release limiting belief patterns, cultivate a healing relationship with themselves and others, and reconnect with their innate wisdom. Through practices of deep listening and embodied awareness, clients learn to access greater peace, honor their uniqueness, and reduce the impact of stress in their daily lives. I offer a compassionate, attentive space for exploration and transformation, where each individual is supported in discovering their own authentic way of being and the ability to listen to their hearts desire.
Charlyn is deeply rooted in the land of her family’s farm, where she grew up, raised her children, and continues to live today. This connection to place informs her grounded, heart-centered approach to teaching and healing. She brings an insatiable curiosity to her work, with a love of reading, exploration, and experiential learning.
In addition to her spiritual work, Charlyn built a 35-year career advocating for employee health and safety and continues to offer her expertise as a consultant globally. She leads workshops for executives, operators, scientists, and other employees incorporating unique tools for learning.
She served on the Board of Directors for the Kripalvananda Yoga Institute for over 10 years, an organization dedicated to preserving the teachings of Swami Kripalu and maintaining Muktidham, the sacred space where he lived during his years in the United States. Charlyn continues to serve as a steward and leads retreats.
Charlyn’s Sanskrit name, Anandamai—meaning “full of bliss” or “consisting of joy”—reflects the essence she brings to her teaching and presence

"I am new at being old. This workshop made me trust that I can be young again and move freely without fear."
"I have always wanted to start a meditation practice but didn't know where to start. The workshop Charlyn led gave me tools and confidence, and she followed up to see how things were going. Meditation has brought an element of peace to my hectic life." Susan K.
"Fantastic program with a great balance of listening, moving, information, and sharing. The perfect cold winter weekend."
After my first yoga class with Charlyn, I told my friends it was like a day at the spa...every class with Charlyn is an hour of mind, body, and soul bliss. With her sweet guidance throughout the class, she creates a peaceful, non-judgmental, sacred place for her students. One of the best lessons I have learned and continue to practice is to be gentle with myself. I love her classes! Lisa J.
"I came to the weekend in a lot of pain, grief, and stress from the last two years that has settled into my body. This weekend has allowed me to release that energy and feel lighter, even though I have been practicing yoga for years. The western notion of the practice has never allowed me to get so in there with what my body needs." 2026 Flow of Presence participant
"The course was the perfect opportunity to build community and self compassion. I will take with me new skills for selfcare and empathy.” Caregiver Retreat participant
"The Caregiver Retreat provided a safe, sweet place to be refreshed and nourished – individually and collectively. There was no judgement or “this is what you should do”. Each person’s journey was respected and honored." Caregiver Retreat
"This session moved me in a way I wasn't expecting. Practices that I thought I understood now have a deeper meaning and I have a clearer knowledge of my own energy. I look forward to bringing these practices "off the mat" and back home, integrating the lessons and experiences into my life." 2026 Flow of Presence partipant.

"During the meditation retreat, Charlyn held space for silence and providing inspiring and transformational experiences." JL

"After class I always feel relaxed and at peace. Options are always provided so we can all participate and benefit whether just beginning or taking classes for a long time." KT
