About Charlyn
Charlyn is an author, healer, guide, teacher trainer, and workshop facilitator. A passionate and compassionate teacher of yoga, meditation, self-care, and healing, Charlyn offers in-person and online classes, workshops and retreats, and private one-on-one sessions with students and clients throughout the world, beginners and experienced practitioners alike.
She published her first book, Walking the Path of Love, in 2021 and offers associated workshops that focus on experiential learning around the core teachings of Swami Kripalu.
Using the core teachings of Swami Kripalu, who stressed the importance of loving relationships with self and others, Charlyn guides her students to walk the path of love, offering tools for deep healing, connecting to their inner wisdom, and embracing their true nature, thereby creating huge transformational changes in their lives.
Each day we encounter situations that challenge our peace, joy, and equanimity. Charlyn developed an approach to uncovering the obstacles that hold us back from leading the life we desire - a life based on our own personal truth. She’ll teach you to tap into your intuition so that you may be guided to the life you desire, the life you are meant to live.
With yoga asana practice, meditation, and devotion as a foundation, I bring to light a path that leads to a life centered in love and based on taking actions aligned with your truth. I help clients find the path of love in the forms of healthy eating, clearing old belief patterns, healing relationships with self and others, self-care, finding peace, honoring their uniqueness, and reducing the effects of stress. I support clients by deeply listening and providing a safe space for transformation and exploration.
Charlyn has deep roots in the land of her family's farm where she grew up, raised her children, and lives today. She has an insatiable curiosity and loves reading, exploring, and experimenting. Charlyn built a 30-year career advocating for employee health and safety and continues to provide expert guidance in a consulting capacity.
Charlyn serves on the Board of Directors for the Kripalvanada Yoga Institute (KYI) dedicated to preserving the teachings of Swami Kripalu and maintaining Muktidham, where he lived during his years in the US.
Her Sanskrit name is Anandamai, which means consisting of bliss; full of joy and happiness.

"I have always wanted to start a meditation practice but didn't know where to start. The workshop Charlyn led gave me tools and confidence, and she followed up to see how things were going. Meditation has brought an element of peace to my hectic life." Susan K.
After my first yoga class with Charlyn, I told my friends it was like a day at the spa...every class with Charlyn is an hour of mind, body, and soul bliss. With her sweet guidance throughout the class, she creates a peaceful, non-judgmental, sacred place for her students. One of the best lessons I have learned and continue to practice is to be gentle with myself. I love her classes! Lisa J.
"I can’t say enough wonderful things about Charlyn. She is extremely thorough, knowledgeable, responsive, thoughtful, and passionate about what she does. She didn't tell me to quit eating certain foods but educated me on what's good for my body in particular. With that knowledge, I was empowered to make informed decisions about my diet. Charlyn also got me to not only try vegetables but actually like them." JJ
"During the meditation retreat, Charlyn held space for silence and providing inspiring and transformational experiences." JL
"After class I always feel relaxed and at peace. Options are always provided so we can all participate and benefit whether just beginning or taking classes for a long time." KT
